1.Peaceful Hiroshima & Miyajima UNESCO 1 Day Bus Tour

★★★★★★★★★★5.0 · from $129Our pick

Review of Hiroshima’s Peace Memorial sites and Miyajima’s floating torii on an 8-hour bus tour with ferry, guide, and entries included.

“Excellent experience - very knowledgeable tour guide (Mimoji) - who was very excited to show us around her home city. The island is beautiful, though watch out for the deer who can be a bit aggressive. The food on the island is also incredible. The peace memorial is more somber but of course a very key part of the history of Japan.”

“The first part of the trip took us to the Atomic Bomb Dome, followed by the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum. Both were incredibly moving and told a powerful, sobering story of the devastation caused by the atomic bomb. The second part of the day took us to the breathtaking island of Miyajima, where we enjoyed some delicious Okonomiyaki. Seeing the iconic Great Torii Gate was unforgettable, and the island itself was truly mesmerising. We even stayed beyond the scheduled tour time to watch the sunset — a beautiful and peaceful way to end the day. Our tour guide, Rino, was exceptional: funny, engaging, and incredibly knowledgeable. She went out of…”

Mari was a 10 on a scale of 5. As a local she knew the history of Hiroshima inside and out. Her English was impeccable. Just a fantastic day. Highly recommend her.”

“Sei (our Guide) met us at the Cruise Port and took us on public transport to the Hiroshima Peace Park. He helped us with buying tickets for the tram. Sei explained really well about each of the monuments and also about living in Japan. We were able to stop when we needed to in the intense heat. He even stood in the queue in the sun to get the tickets for the museum while we rested in the shade. Sei was extremely passionate about Hiroshima and friendly. He took us back to the ship on the tram. We could not have asked for more. We would thoroughly recommend a tour…”

“Takane was a nice guide and spoke English well. Although he said that it was his first time guiding in English, he managed to do a good job. Please continue working hard with guiding! As some previous reviews have stated, the ~1 hour freetimes at the Miyajima island and especially at Peace Memorial Museum are quite short as there is way more to see if one wants to immerse themselves to these places. However, this trip is a good starter course for these places and gives a glimpse to what maybe to do more next time one comes Hiroshima.”
